Hey, there! A little backstory on me. Shall we?

I'm Okereke Vincent, a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend systems, distributed platforms, and reliability-focused infrastructure. My engineering work centers on a simple principle: systems should remain correct when things go wrong.

I specialize in distributed job orchestration, state coordination, transactional systems, concurrency control, idempotency, and failure recovery. I care about how systems behave under concurrent writes, retries, partial failures, crashes, and increasing load, not just how they behave on the happy path.

My primary stack is Go, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Redis, with supporting experience in AWS, Docker, CI/CD, TypeScript, and Next.js. I've owned architecture end-to-end, led engineering teams, mentored engineers, and built production systems across platform engineering, real-time applications, data-intensive systems, and security-focused infrastructure.

What I Build

Distributed Systems
Job orchestration, worker coordination, state machines, leasing, retries, and deterministic recovery.

Backend Platforms
Transactional APIs, control planes, multi-tenant systems, idempotency, caching, and real-time infrastructure.

Reliable Infrastructure
Systems designed around failure modes, observability, safe deployments, and operational correctness.

What I'm Looking For

I'm interested in Senior Backend, Platform, and Distributed Systems roles where correctness, reliability, and architectural ownership actually matter.

I work best with remote-first teams that value engineering judgment, clear communication, and autonomy.
